Cookies on this site
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site may set, and how to refuse them. Refusing does not hide studies, rates, field notes, or the briefing form. Read it with our privacy notice.
A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device so the site or a provider can recognise a visit or a choice. Some cookies last only while the browser is open (session). Others remain until they expire or you delete them (persistent).
Types we use
Essential. We store your cookie choice in the browser under the key mcp_cookie_consent. That storage is what stops this banner appearing on every page load after you Accept or Reject. It is not used to follow you across other sites.
Analytics (only if you Accept). If you accept, we may set a first-party analytics cookie to see which pages are read (for example the studies list versus a single field note). If you reject, we do not set that cookie. The site continues to work.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not run a scarcity countdown or a tracking pixel for ads.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
mcp_cookie_consent |
Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies so the banner can stay closed | 12 months (localStorage; remains until you clear site data) | Mirror Canvas Point (first party) |
mcp_page_read |
Optional count of page views on this domain after Accept — not set if you Reject | 6 months | Mirror Canvas Point (first party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. To change a choice later, clear stored data for mirrorcanvaspoint.digital in your browser, then reload; the banner will appear again. You can also block cookies in the browser’s settings. Blocking all cookies may also remove the stored choice, so the banner will return; it will not block the briefing form.
Third-party cookies
Pages load type from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address when the font files are requested. That request is not a cookie we set. Embedded photographs are requested from the image host named in the image address; that host may set its own cookies according to its policies. We do not control those. Legal pages and study copy do not require third-party login cookies.
If you disable cookies
You can still read studies, rates, field notes, and send a briefing request. You may see the consent banner again. Optional page-read counts will not run. For how we handle form and study data, see the privacy notice.
