Terms of engagement

By using https://mirrorcanvaspoint.digital, submitting the briefing form, or paying a deposit for a study, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not send a request or a deposit. What we agree to supply

We supply observational engagement studies and written briefs about smart-mirror use and companion-app use, as described on the study pages. The artefacts are documents and a walkthrough. We do not supply software, hosting, firmware, screen designs, advertising, or a right to use our name on packaging without a separate written permission.

Briefings and estimates

A briefing is a conversation. An estimate sent afterwards is informational until both sides confirm in writing (including email) the study type, household count, fee, and dates. Starting prices on the rates page are not offers. We may refuse a study if pairing still requires your staff in the room, if recordings were made without household knowledge, or if children would be the subject.

Your materials and access

You warrant that recordings, notes, and buyer lists you send may legally be shared with us for the purpose of the study. You remain responsible for consents from households and employees. We may return or refuse material that appears covert or that includes children.

Households

Participants are not your employees for our purposes. We pay incentives from the study fee where the study plan says so. You will not contact a household we recruited to sell to them during the study without our written agreement.

Intellectual property

The written brief and session notes we produce are licensed to you for internal product and research use once the fee is paid in full. We retain copyright. You may not publish the brief, household names, or stills without written consent from us and, where stills show a person, from that person. Our method descriptions, website copy, and field notes remain ours. You keep copyright in firmware, companion-app code, and recordings you supplied.

Confidentiality

We will not name your unreleased mirror in public field notes without permission. You will not present our brief as your own research authorship. Both sides may discuss the existence of a completed study in general terms after the walkthrough unless a separate non-disclosure agreement says otherwise.

Liability

A study describes what we watched and read. It is not a guarantee of sales, return rates, or app-store outcomes. Our liability for any claim arising from a study or from this website is limited to the fees you paid us for that study in the twelve months before the claim, except where Malaysian law forbids a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or the cost of a firmware delay.

Website use

This site is informational. Form submissions are acknowledged through a mock confirmation for demonstration of the page; a real briefing request is complete only when we reply by email from info@mirrorcanvaspoint.digital. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or to scrape household-related content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts of Kuala Lumpur have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief elsewhere to protect household stills or our copyright.

Changes

We may update these terms on this page. The version in force for a paid study is the version on the date you paid the deposit, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.
